The choices of where to send your child to preschool, when to send them, what to look for in a program and so many other things…add a pandemic to the mix and it seems even more daunting.

But we’re here to help! We know that every family will need to make the decision that is right for them.

Here are some things to consider…

What measures have been put in place to keep children and families safe?

No shoes inside

Temperature taking and a quick health check at drop off

More outside time that allows for physical distancing

Stepped up sanitation practices

Strict policy on students being excluded if they show signs of illness

Communication with families concerning the new and preexisting measure in place

Small school/small group sizes

What plans does the school have for the possibility of a second wave making closure necessary?

When school closed in March, we provided a variety of options for at home learning, through Zoom, Google Classroom and take home packages with hands on materials. We will continue to refine our plans should this become necessary again.

Preschool is an amazing time for social interaction, language development and learning about the world beyond our own little home and family.

It is our job as teachers to make the choices and prepare to let them get back to what they were born to do…PLAY, LEARN, EXPLORE, GROW!
